If you have ever managed a social media page you have probably googled ‘best social media strategy ideas,’ or’ social media post ideas’ - and you probably found almost 70% of those articles are not helpful.
All they tell you is to create engaging and creative content to trigger an emotional response, but what if you’re managing a social page for say an accounting firm, or something very niche and… sorry accountants, but not something all that exciting? And even if you are lucky enough to manage a fun page, what qualifies as engaging content?
So today, I am not going to give you a ready-made guide on “how to create engaging content,” instead, I thought we could break down an example of why Samson the ladle has become a new Instagram sensation and why 150k followers, including myself, enjoy following a ladle around his daily duties.
Do you remember the day when if you ran out of washing powder or fabric softener you physically had to put on your shoes, grab your purse and walk or drive to the nearest grocery store and keep your fingers crossed that they’d have your product in stock? You do? Well congratulations, I guess that means you’re old.
I remember the days of getting into the car on a Thursday evening with my family and driving to the big Tesco to do our weekly shop, my brother and I bribed to behave with the promise of a toy car or a tube of Tom and Jerry cherry tomatoes (weird I know.) Keyword research is a way to identify the best keywords for your SEO or PPC campaign and the way you perform research differs depending on if you are going for paid or organic search. This time I’ll be focusing on organic search and later I’ll give you some tips on PPC too.

Dating websites such as Match.com, eHarmony and Plenty of Fish are still going strong and help put millions of single people together in one space to hopefully spark a connection. But more modern dating apps such as Tinder, Bumble and Grinder are creating a new database, a new community comprised of different age groups, different marital status and different intentions.
LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT HOW PEOPLE ADOPT INNOVATIONS - SOMETHING KNOWN AS DIFFUSION OF INNOVATION CURVE.
So my Dad was a computer geek in the time and place where this concept didn’t exist (the Republic of Georgia in 1980s.) Back then he was getting his PhD in Psychology and Sociology and in his free time building PCs from scratch in a little makeshift man cave in our house. He would bring home boxes and boxes of parts and then make a PC, using a small Russian made TV as a monitor. Needless to say, my Mum didn’t like the building part, but she was fascinated by the machine once it was up and running (Early Majority).
I'm going out on a limb and I'm going to assume that at some point someone has asked you to solve a problem by being creative. How did that work out?
Asking someone to "be creative" can cause a wide range of reactions from fear and panic all the way through to excitement and joy.
