Why Wasn't Super Mario 2 Pursued in it’s Marketing?

Mario Maker 2 has been out for a few days now and, if you don’t know, is a game for the Nintendo Switch (the newest console by Nintendo) that allows you to create and play Mario levels, both your own and others.

With this premise you may see how large the game can get and how long it would take to just play every level, the Youtuber “MatPat” from The Game Theorists has worked out the exact number of unique levels possible while eliminating any levels not considered “fun” using a set of criteria, which you can see here:

NETFLIX IS KING OF STREAMING SERVICES - BUT FOR HOW LONG?

In the world of streaming services, I always find myself shocked when I’m talking to someone who doesn’t have a Netflix account. Like, how else do you watch TV!?

Over the years the way we watch and view content has changed drastically. We used to have 3 or 4 channels, then came digital and packages like Sky TV and Virgin where we had access to a wide range of channels. We also had rental stores such as Blockbuster and Choices. ( Does anyone else remember Choices!?)

TECHNOLOGY IS CHANGING AS AMAZON DISCONTINUES DASH BUTTONS

Do you remember the day when if you ran out of washing powder or fabric softener you physically had to put on your shoes, grab your purse and walk or drive to the nearest grocery store and keep your fingers crossed that they’d have your product in stock? You do? Well congratulations, I guess that means you’re old.

Dating websites such as Match.com, eHarmony and Plenty of Fish are still going strong and help put millions of single people together in one space to hopefully spark a connection. But more modern dating apps such as Tinder, Bumble and Grinder are creating a new database, a new community comprised of different age groups, different marital status and different intentions.

The Mystery that is Snapchat Advertising

Snapchat haven’t had the easiest past few years with its features being copied by Facebook and Instagram and all of the negative attention surrounding the layout change of its Snapchat stories.

Kylie Jenner who is a huge public influencer dropped a tweet saying that she no longer used Snapchat, by end of trade the following day Snapchat’s stock had dropped 6%, an estimated loss of between $1.3 (£983,320,000.00) and $1.6 billion (£1,210,240,000.00) in market value.

Despite all of this Snapchat is holding its own.

VIRTUAL REALITY; IS IT THE FUTURE?

The difference between Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality is quite simple, in VR you can swim underwater with dolphins in a more immersive situation. With AR you can watch the dolphins jump out of your sink.

If you asked a group of people about Augmented Reality, you’d probably get some mixed reactions but the majority would be a positive; ‘Technology can only move forward.’ While that is accurate, I have to wonder if the introduction of widespread AR would really change the way we live our lives that much.
